Bio
A native Michigander, Barbara left her Detroit home and followed her dreams to a Dallas ballet boarding school at the age of 13. IT’S FINALLY MAMA’S TURN!
A 16 year career teaching kickboxing provided her with a live audience to captivate every Monday and Wednesday night with cardio and comedy. Faith and a “Keep moving forward no matter what” warrior mentality fueled Barbara to beat a broken heart, colon cancer, two detached biceps, get a new hip and break free of the suburbs to reclaim her dream of becoming a successful actress. To complement her decades of life experience, Barb has honed her talents alongside a variety of industry leaders—learning from the best at Sue Hamilton Studios, The Commercial Class with Rob Brownstein and multi-level classes at The Voicecaster and Cold Tofu Improv, among others—to develop and master a range of both commercial and theatrical skills. As a dual American and Canadian citizen Barbara continues to find opportunities to cultivate and rise into an abundantly successful acting career.
